We start every relationship with a no-cost Discovery meeting to get to know one another. If we determine that we’re a good fit to work together, we proceed with the five-step planning process below.
We begin every client engagement with a no-cost introductory Discovery meeting. This informal meeting is designed to be a chance for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss why we’re meeting and get an overview of your financial situation and goals. We’ll go over what the client experience will be like, and explain our fee schedule to ensure we’re all on the same page.
If we decide that we’re a good fit, we move on to information gathering. We’ll give you a questionnaire to complete and then you’ll be given access to a secure online portal where you can easily upload the questionnaire and other important documents in one central location.
Once your information is organized in one place and we have a clear understanding of your goals, concerns, and needs, we proceed with plan development. We’ll analyze where you are today, where you want to be in the future, and then create a plan to help you get there.
We’ll go over your plan, discuss the recommendations, and explain how each addresses the specific goals or needs we’ve previously identified. We then prioritize these to-dos and tackle them at a pace you’re comfortable with.
Life is full of important transitions and unexpected events that will require adjustments to even the best plans. We’ll meet periodically so we can make those adjustments and keep you on track. A financial plan isn’t a document, it’s a process and a journey that must evolve in order to be successful.
